The Alberta 1st Party exists to help Albertans adopt a new made in Alberta Constitution.
We believe a strong provincial constitution can provide Albertans with significant protection from the federal government of Canada. We are building a federal political movement that prioritizes Albertans' needs, strengthens provincial autonomy, and builds economic independence.
We believe that an Alberta constitution can offer significant protection of individual rights and liberties that the Canadian Charter does not.
Through democratic participation, grassroots leadership, and practical policy, we aim to restore accountability in government and put Alberta’s future back into Albertan hands.

Our goal is to ensure that Alberta adopts a new provincial constitution that can ensure Alberta remains free, prosperous, and secure for generations to come — with full control over our resources, rights, and responsibilities.
All past attempts by Albertans to reform confederation have failed. We are obligated to support Alberta independence if constitutional change continues to be thwarted by “Canada” and the people of Alberta choose that route through a legal referendum.
